Perhaps You Were Created for Such a Time as This

Just a few things I’ve been pondering this morning…

Do you ever wonder why you are here? Now? At this moment? That perhaps you were created for exactly this moment? Or are you wondering why?

I believe that God has a plan and a purpose for each of our lives. We have all sinned and fall short of His glory, but I love that I have hope knowing that He has forgiven me and washed me clean by the blood of Christ and continues to forgive me when I fail Him…daily…hourly…more often than I like.

“For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do. Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”

It is so amazing to know that He chose me to live in this time in history, that He knew these moments were right for me and that I can handle it and all that I face it when walking with Him. I can’t do it on my own, but I’m blessed to have a Savior and personal God that helps me, leads me, guides me, picks me up, and carries me through. And that Christ understands my struggles and weaknesses. That I can boldly approach His throne.

“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.”

I don’t want to be a spectator, I want to be a PARTICIPANT in God’s work!!! I haven’t been put here to sit in the stands, to watch from my couch, or stand on the sidelines. I am actively running this race and I aim to run it, if at times if it is barely a jog, I’m going to keep pressing because I am not alone.

“Not that I have already obtained it or have already become perfect, but I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus. Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”

God’s mercies are new every morning!! It’s never too late to begin again!!!!

“PERHAPS YOU’VE BEEN CREATED FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS.” Esther 4:14
